Spring in Hong Kong

I have just been on another trip to the East for Autumn 2012 Product Development. Had a night in Hong Kong and an afternoon in Taipei to get some shopping time in, and as usual, the stores were a real feast for the eyes to see. I just LOVE walking the streets in the spring time when the weather hasn't quite got to that humid sweltering heat, the places are a buzz with people and the energy in the air is just amazing!!

Chanel Flatforms

Uber cool wigs!!
Got these colour-blocked booties (very Chanel inspired), at H&M

Loved the colour of this wall paper feature in the Miu Miu window

Patent bow square toe block heel courts @ Miu Miu

Nice use of the acid yellow highlight with the grey at Tory Burch
Notice the red lip detail on these Valentino dolls
The amazing studded pointy Valentino courts

Nothing really new or exciting at Steve Madden - just that they have gone into Jelly's in a BIG way for high summer. Thought the luxurious flower detail was a nice touch of femininity!

More bright pink jellies - this time seen at Moschino

I have been obsessed with these Givenchy platforms since they came out  - the perfect height and the perfectly new shaped chunky heel!

Zara have obviously sold their version of the Chloe Clog well, as this is the 2nd iteration they have done of it now. And you'll see the third, a cerise pink leather one a pic or two down. I first bought the tan leather (1st version) ones last July, here in Hong Kong, and have worn them to death. Totally a key item for the season!
Zara looked like it had exploded into summer with colour, colour and more colour!! And it was executed right the way through to the footwear as well. The main look and window theme was a bright story - bright jeans, pants, blazers, flat ballerinas and vests.

A touch a neon pink mixed with the light camel - awesome!
Bright orange patent slingback kitten heel courts
Cerise pink cut-out courts
The 2nd window had this gorgeous kimono top in a butterfly print that was sold out in the store - and the loose pants with the oriental feeling on the second body were too! They accessorized this look with colour-blocked shoes - probably the 2nd biggest look after the brights story.

Love the silver metallic toe-cap on these two-tone strappy flats!
A lot of patent too.....

Nine West's main window was featuring the primary brights in blue, green & yellow
Thought this cork wedge moccasin is looking so fresh
They had a fortune of platform cork, espadrille and rope wedges in brights and neutral palettes

Tribal'esque, tie-dye type print
Secondary window was showing pretty, candy pinks and whites

A saw a fortune of manstyle brogues still!! This is the Staccato window with all their versions.
Like the summer pink and milk patent executions
Wedge sandals galore!
Chunky flatform type wedges
And an EVA version too
Block heel smarter sandals
Metallic wedges were also a big look
More utility inspired wedge styling with colour blocking
Millies also showing the summer wedge look in their windows

More sporty versions with EVA outsole detail
And more EVA wedges

Pony skin details - in leopard, cheetah and zebra prints were seen at almost every shoe store
Here is Mr Louboutin's version - in the new extra high platform court
Nearly squealed to myself when I stumbled upon this Jeffrey Campbell concession in a department store in Taipei!! I personally call him the KING of wooden wedges - and this store had the biggest range of his I have ever seen. Such a pity they didn't stock big sizes or moi might have gone wild.....

Couldn't resist this one - how cute are JLo's kids?? And posing for Gucci too!
Prada were still continuing there love affair with stripes........

Fendi window showed colour-blocked smart sandals
Black and white at Chloe

And that's it.
Goodbye Chinatown - am heading home now!
