Window shopping..... Aussie style!!

So, as promised, here are the pics of the store windows I took in Sydney a couple of days ago.
There are quite a few really good shopping spots throughout the city, downtown City Center itself with the brand new Westfield Mall and recently revamped Pitt Str Mall, Oxford Str in Paddington and of course Bondi Junction!

Wanted: fabulous standalone store store!

Masses of peep-toe courts and platforms!

Note the clogging looks.

Lots and lots of wedges @ Wanted.

Witchery: ever since I got a pair of gorgeous taupe leather ballet flats as a gift from here a few years ago, I was dying to see the store for myself.

Loved this lazer-cut smart sandal.
Canvas and leather cuffed flat sandal.

Loved this sexy sandal!

They are not afraid to do a style they believe in in more than four colourways here at Witchery.

Wittner: was probably my favourite shop on the trip!! Have long since been fascinated with their styles on their website & they didn't disappoint in real life!

Lots of bone, white and metallics!

Loved the medium cone heels on the second shelf.

Wood and cork wedges.

I bought the lace-up cloggs on the top shelf!

A huge range of flats, moccasins, courts and comfort pumps - core product. Also notice the boots on the wall. Sorry not a great pic - but was very surprised to see that in high summer the stores were carrying the very hot, and on trend boot styles. To get a better idea, I downloaded the styles from their website below for you to see:

And I did see a lot of girls on the streets wearing boots too - mostly this commando ankle length styling! When I asked the stores they said they are selling it well. So very on trend for the summer boot trend of Summer 2011!

More cork wedges.

Peter Alexander is the most divine sleepwear and underwear store. Some slipper inspiration for you Karen xx

Now when I saw all the Westfield signs in the city, I almost thought I might be in London for a moment! So reminiscent of the magnificent Westfield Mall in Shepard's Bush in good ol'London town. But turns out that Westfield are actually an Australian Shopping Mall company - and they do dominate the retail scene locally in Aus - the centres are world class!!

Hot wedge @ GUESS.

ALDO also had some boots - note the commando and pixie styles on the top shelf.

Wood and cork @ Nine West.

Black and white story - thought the leopard print done in the black and white looked new and fresh.

Bright colours executed @ Steve Madden.

Loved this weaved upper summer flattie!

These plain coloured gladiators came in six different colours!

One of the very few mule styles around.

Mimco: great local accessories store!

Black and white dominated @ Karen Millen.

Zimmerman: a local Aussie designer store that had great high summer gear; dresses, kaftans and swimwear.

An entire store dedicated to peep-toes!

Thought this was such an easy style with the flower trim.

Jigsaw: another one of the many UK retailers that trade in Australia.

Espadrille wedge and wood platform sandals.

Paddington area with Oxford Str and the many side streets are were you find the little hidden gems! Lots of local designers can be found here - neighborhood has a great vibe!

So true!!

Lots of brights from the local Aussie designers.

These are pages form the local fashion retailer Sportsgirl's summer mailer. Note their emphasis on wood and clogging looks.

Printed bags and espadrilles!

And lastly, a local magazine had a spread on the latest looks in summer footwear. Thought the categories they highlighted are spot on - all the key items for Summer 2011!
