With everyone at the office busy buying high summer goodies, we are all very much in a summer head space. I am leaving for the East on Saturday to work on new developments and so also have summer on the brain. So thought I would share with you one of my themes for inspiration: Crochet & Lace!
This picture was taken at the Chanel Summer Show, and it depicts the combination of two very new fabrications for Summer 2011. Love, love love crochet dresses (always have) - especially love the newness with it being worn together with lace.
The Dolce & Gabbana Summer Catwalk was also full full full of crochet and lace looks. Done in mostly top to toe white bodies, with some also in black and a little animal print mixing in there too (very sexy D&G'esq).
And the celebrities are wearing this trend a lot lately. Above far left is Zoe Saldana in the Dolce & Gabbana combo, Kate Bosworth in gorgeous Erdem and Rachel Bilson in the new blue from Dior.
I was paging through the new British Vogue and found these fabulous crochet like pieces. Far left is the Gucci Summer runway, the Dior summer mag ad and then a pic from an editorial shoot with the model in the beautiful Gucci woven boots (almost too beautiful!).
And so went to find some inspiration of these fabrications being used in Footwear - and there are loads!
